Questions and answers

Is the RR24 worth $1,999?
At $1,999 at The Music Zoo as of November 4, 2026, it sits in the US-made Jackson range. If you want a US-built Rhoads with a Floyd Rose and play standing, it is a fair price. Cheaper import Rhoads models cost far less but differ in build and hardware.
How does it compare to the import Rhoads models?
The American Series is built in the US with a neck-through three-piece maple neck, ebony board and Floyd Rose 1500 tremolo. Import Rhoads models are typically bolt-on with different pickups and tremolos and cost much less.
Does it stay in tune with heavy tremolo use?
The Floyd Rose 1500 Series tremolo and locking nut are designed for dive bombs and pull-ups, and owners report good tuning stability. Stretch new strings and let them settle before relying on it live.
What strings does it ship with?
It comes with .009-.042 nickel-plated steel strings. The Floyd Rose is set up for that gauge, so changing gauge means adjusting spring tension and intonation.
Is the V shape comfortable to play?
Standing with a strap, the Rhoads shape balances well and gives good upper-fret access. Seated, the V has no leg contour, so most players use a classical position or stand.
When is the price lowest?
The current best new price is $1,999 at The Music Zoo as of November 4, 2026. Guitar prices often dip during holiday sales and when a new color or model year arrives, so watch for those windows.
Where is the Jackson American Series Rhoads RR24 Guitar cheapest?
At The Music Zoo, for $1,999.00, as of our latest check.
Where can I buy the Jackson American Series Rhoads RR24 Guitar?
3 stores we checked sell it, including The Music Zoo, Jackson, Guitar Center.
