Our take on the Jazmm AM FM Portable Radio

The Jazmm is a battery-powered analog AM/FM radio with two speakers, a 3.5mm earphone jack and a single exchangeable rechargeable C-size battery. It weighs 2.12 lb and is not water-resistant, so it suits indoor and sheltered use rather than the beach or rain. It is a basic, low-cost set aimed at simple listening rather than tuning precision or durability.

Questions and answers

Is the Jazmm radio worth buying?
If you want a simple two-speaker AM/FM set with a rechargeable battery and don't need digital tuning or Bluetooth, it covers the basics. Shoppers wanting precise tuning or weatherproofing should look elsewhere.
Does it have Bluetooth or an aux input?
No. The only input listed is a 3.5mm earphone jack for headphones, so you cannot stream from a phone.
What battery does it take?
One exchangeable rechargeable C-size battery. Because it is swappable, you can carry a spare rather than waiting to recharge.
Can I use it outdoors?
It is not water-resistant, so it is fine on a porch or in a shed but should not be left in rain or heavy damp.
How many speakers does it have?
Two, which gives it more output than single-speaker portable radios of similar size.
When is the price lowest?
Small-brand radios like this tend to dip during holiday sales and back-to-school promotions. Check the price history before buying.
What do buyers say about the Jazmm AM FM Portable Radio?
Rated 4.3 out of 5 from 103 ratings.
