Our take on the JBL Bar 1300MK2 - 11.1.4 Channel Dolby Atmos Soundbar with Detachable Speakers + Epson EB-FH54 3 LCD Home Theatre Projector + RNT Projection Screen Motorised 120 Inches - Wireless Theater enthusiast Bundle package

The JBL Bar 1300MK2 is an 11.1.4-channel Dolby Atmos soundbar system with a 1,200 W wireless subwoofer and two detachable surround speakers that run up to 10 hours on their own batteries. It has three HDMI inputs, one HDMI output, Bluetooth 5.3 on the main bar and 5.4 on the detachable speakers, and a 33 Hz to 20 kHz frequency response. This listing bundles it with an Epson EB-FH54 3LCD projector and a 120-inch motorized projection screen for a full wireless home theater. No current price was supplied for the bundle, so compare it against the soundbar's own street price before buying.

Best forLarge living rooms and dedicated media roomsBuyers who want rear speakers without running wiresMovie and Atmos streaming fansAnyone building a projector-based theater from scratch
Pros
  • True 11.1.4 layout with real rear channels from detachable speakers
  • Detachable surrounds double as portable Bluetooth speakers for up to 10 hours
  • Powerful 1,200 W subwoofer reaches down to 33 Hz
  • Three HDMI inputs cover a console, streamer and disc player
  • Bundle adds a 120-inch motorized screen and 3LCD projector in one purchase
Cons
  • Bundle price is high and hard to compare against buying the parts separately
  • Detachable speakers need recharging and docking to stay charged
  • Large subwoofer (12 kg) and 120-inch screen need real floor and wall space
  • Epson EB-FH54 is a 1080p projector, not 4K, so it limits the Atmos picture pairing
  • No price was given for this listing, so value can't be judged from it

Questions and answers

Is the JBL Bar 1300MK2 worth it over the Bar 1000?
The 1300MK2 adds more channels and a bigger subwoofer than the Bar 1000, so it suits larger rooms better. In a small room the difference is smaller and the Bar 1000 may be enough.
Do the detachable speakers need to be charged?
Yes. They run up to 10 hours per charge and recharge when docked on the bar. For permanent rear placement, keep them docked when not in use.
Is the Epson EB-FH54 a 4K projector?
No. The EB-FH54 is a 3LCD 1080p projector. It handles the soundbar's Atmos audio fine, but the picture is Full HD, not 4K.
What is included in this bundle?
The JBL Bar 1300MK2 soundbar, its wireless subwoofer and two detachable surround speakers, plus the Epson EB-FH54 projector and a 120-inch motorized screen.
How many HDMI devices can I connect?
Three HDMI inputs and one output, so you can plug in a console, a streamer and a disc player and pass video to the projector through the bar.
When is the best time to buy?
Soundbar bundles usually drop during festive and end-of-season sales. Track the price history and compare the bundle against the soundbar alone before buying.
