Is the JBL Bar Studio worth it?

It is a reasonable pick if you want clearer TV sound in a small room for little money. If you want bass or room-filling volume, a 2.1 bar with a subwoofer is the better buy.

Does it come with a subwoofer?

No. It is a 2.0-channel bar with built-in drivers only, and it has no subwoofer output, so you cannot add one later.

Will it work with my TV?

It connects over HDMI ARC, optical, AUX or Bluetooth. Any TV with one of those outputs will work; HDMI ARC gives the simplest single-cable setup and TV remote volume control.

Yes. It is designed for wall mounting, and JBL includes the mounting hardware in the box.

Can I stream music to it over Bluetooth?

Yes. It pairs with phones, tablets and computers over Bluetooth, so it doubles as a speaker for music when the TV is off.

It is an older, entry-level bar, so it drops most during major sales events and clearance periods. Check the price history before buying.

Our take on the JBL Bar Studio 2.0 Channel Bluetooth Soundbar

The JBL Bar Studio is a compact 2.0-channel soundbar meant to replace weak TV speakers without a subwoofer or surround setup. It offers Bluetooth streaming, HDMI ARC, optical, USB, AUX and an IR remote passthrough, and can be wall-mounted. Its 3.7-out-of-5 rating from 176 buyers suggests a mixed reception, mostly around bass and volume. It is a budget-tier bar, so expect entry-level pricing rather than premium sound.
