Questions and answers

Is the JBL Live 780NC worth it?
It is a strong pick if battery life and multi-point matter most. The 80-hour rating with ANC off beats most rivals, and the bundle adds a hard case. Compare its current price with the Sony WH-1000XM5 and Bose QuietComfort before deciding.
How does it compare with the JBL Live 770NC?
The 780NC adds True Adaptive Noise Cancelling 2.0, LE Audio and Auracast, and a higher 80-hour battery rating. The 770NC is the cheaper option if you don't need those extras.
How long does the battery last with noise cancelling on?
JBL rates it at up to 50 hours with ANC on and up to 80 hours with ANC off. Real-world figures depend on volume and codec.
Can I connect it to a phone and a laptop at the same time?
Yes. Multi-point connection pairs two Bluetooth devices at once, so you can take calls on your phone while audio plays from a laptop.
What comes in the box?
The headphones, a USB-C to 3.5mm cable, a carrying pouch, the gSport protective case and a manual.
When is it cheapest?
JBL headphones typically drop during Black Friday, Prime Day and back-to-school sales. Check the price history on this page to see whether the current price is near its low.
