Our take on the JBL VRX932LA-1WH 12" 2-Way Line-Array System

The JBL VRX932LA-1WH is a white 12-inch, two-way line-array element for flown or pole-mounted PA in clubs, churches and touring rigs. It pairs a 12-inch woofer with three annular-ring-diaphragm high-frequency drivers on a constant-curvature waveguide, rated 800 W continuous and 130 dB peak. Integral rigging hardware and M10 points let you hang arrays of up to six cabinets per side. It is a passive 8-ohm box, so you need an amplifier and processor; the listed Bluetooth and 6.0-channel tags do not match how this speaker is actually used. No current price was given for this listing, so check the price history before buying.

Questions and answers

Is the VRX932LA-1WH powered?
No. It is a passive 8-ohm cabinet rated 800 W continuous, so you need an external amplifier and a crossover or DSP. The Bluetooth and 6.0-channel labels in some listings do not apply to this speaker.
How many cabinets can I hang in one array?
JBL rates the VRX932LA for arrays of up to six cabinets per side using the integral rigging. Keep total weight within your rigging and venue limits.
Does it come with a subwoofer?
No. It is a full-range two-way element down to 75 Hz, but for music you will want VRX918S or similar subs below it.
Can I pole-mount it?
Yes. It has a dual-angle pole socket for ground stacking on a sub or stand, in addition to the M10 flying points.
When is the best time to buy?
Watch the price history around pro-audio sales events and end-of-year dealer promotions; line-array pricing moves less than consumer gear, so compare across stores.
