Is the La Newborn doll worth it at $26.99?

At $26.99 at Target as of November 5, 2026, it is a low-cost way to get a jointed, realistic baby doll with a full layette. Comparable vinyl baby dolls often cost more without the outfit.

It is 14 inches tall and weighs about 1 lb 5 oz, so it fits toddlers and young children well but is small for kids over about 7.

Can the doll be bathed?

The vinyl body is washable, but it is not a water-play doll. Wipe it clean rather than submerging it, since water can get inside the jointed body.

What comes in the box?

The gift set includes the doll, an 8-piece layette, a bodysuit, a hat, booties and a diaper.

No. The head is bald like a newborn's, which also makes it easy to clean.

Toy prices dip around Black Friday and the December holidays. The current $26.99 at Target is already near the bottom of its recent range.
