This is a limited-edition Blue Label blend built around whisky from the closed Port Dundas grain distillery, which shut in 2010. It mixes that rare grain with malt and grain from Auchroisk, Cameronbridge, Clynelish, Dailuaine and Glenkinchie, bottled at 43.8% ABV. The nose is floral and the style is soft and creamy rather than smoky. As a discontinued-whisky release it trades above standard Blue Label and is aimed at collectors as much as drinkers.
Lowest price we've seen: $401.63 on Nov 1 at Hard To Find Whisky. Tracked across 1 store since Nov 1.
Ratings are strong, around 4.7 out of 5 from a small set of 10 ratings, so treat the score as indicative rather than definitive. Owners tend to praise the smooth, creamy texture and the story behind the closed Port Dundas distillery.
