Our take on the Jy03 Drone with 1080p HD Camera

The Jy03 is a beginner quadcopter with a 1080p camera on a 90-degree adjustable mount, an optical flow sensor for steadier hovering, and one-key takeoff and landing. It ships with two 1000 mAh modular batteries for up to 24 minutes of total flight time and a basic RC controller. At $51.99 at Walmart as of November 3, 2026, it sits at the only price recorded so far, so there is no cheaper point to compare against yet.

Cons

  • Cellular connectivity claim is unusual for this class and worth verifying
  • Plastic build and 1.3 lb weight suit calm days only

Questions and answers

Is the Jy03 drone worth it for a beginner?
Yes, if you want a cheap first drone to learn on. One-key takeoff, a stable hover and two batteries lower the cost of mistakes. Skip it if you need smooth video or GPS return-to-home.
How long does the battery actually last?
The spec claims 24 minutes total across the two 1000 mAh batteries, so about 12 minutes each. Real flights with camera use usually run shorter, and wind or cold weather cuts it further.
Does it have GPS and return-to-home?
No. The Jy03 relies on an optical flow sensor for hovering, which works best indoors or in still air. There is no GPS lock or automatic return, so keep it within sight.
What comes in the box?
The drone, an RC controller, two 1000 mAh modular Li-Po batteries and the camera. Check the listing for a charger and spare propellers before you buy.
Is the camera good enough for YouTube videos?
It records 1080p, but expect soft detail and shaky footage in wind. It is fine for casual clips and practice; it is not a match for a gimbal-stabilized drone.
When is the best time to buy it?
The only recorded price is $51.99 at Walmart as of November 3, 2026, with no history to compare. Watch for holiday discounts, since budget drones often drop in November and December.
Where is the Jy03 Drone with 1080p HD Camera cheapest?
At Walmart, for $51.99, as of our latest check.
What do buyers say about the Jy03 Drone with 1080p HD Camera?
Rated 3.3 out of 5 from 429 ratings.
