Our take on the Kaffe Frothing Basics Kit

The Kaffe Frothing Basics Kit pairs a USB-rechargeable handheld milk frother with a 600 ml stainless steel frothing pitcher. The pitcher has inside measurement markings and a latte art spout, and it is dishwasher safe. The frother runs on a single button and is meant for small batches of hot or cold foam. At $34.99 at Kaffe Products as of November 5, 2026, it is the only new price listed, so there is no recent range to compare it against.

  • Pitcher is dishwasher safe
  • Frother recharges over USB, so no disposable batteries
Cons
  • Handheld frother gives a looser foam than a steam wand

Questions and answers

Is the Kaffe Frothing Basics Kit worth it?
It suits someone who wants foam for lattes and cold brew without buying a machine. At $34.99 at Kaffe Products as of November 5, 2026, you pay for the pitcher and the rechargeable frother together. A steam wand or electric milk frother gives denser, hotter foam.
How long does the frother run on a charge?
Kaffe does not publish a runtime figure. Expect several frothing sessions per charge, since handheld frothers use little power. Recharging is over USB, so a dead battery means waiting or using another charger.
Can the pitcher go in the dishwasher?
Yes. Kaffe lists the pitcher as dishwasher safe. Hand washing the frother's whisk is safer, since the motor unit should not be submerged.
Does it make hot foam?
No. The handheld frother aerates milk but does not heat it. Warm the milk first, then froth it in the pitcher.
How much milk fits in the pitcher?
The pitcher holds 600 ml. Fill it well below the rim so the milk has room to expand while frothing.
What is in the box?
The kit includes the handheld milk frother and the 600 ml stainless steel frothing pitcher. A USB charging cable is needed for the frother; confirm it is included before ordering.
Where is the Kaffe Frothing Basics Kit cheapest?
At Kaffe Products, for $34.99, as of our latest check.
