Is the Kärcher FC 2-4 worth it over a mop?

If you have hard floors and want them clean and dry faster, yes. It scrubs and removes dirty water in one pass, which a mop can't do. For a whole house in one go, its 20-minute runtime is limiting.

How long does the battery last?

About 20 minutes per charge, per the specs. That covers a kitchen, bathroom and hallway, but larger floors need a recharge or a second pass.

Does it work on carpets or rugs?

No. It is a hard floor cleaner for tile, vinyl, sealed wood and similar surfaces. Use a vacuum for carpets.

What comes in the box?

The unit, a battery and charger, and standard roller brushes. Extra rollers and cleaning solution are sold separately.

When is the best time to buy?

The only new price found is $138.94 at Tiny Lux as of November 8, 2026. Watch for bundle deals that include spare rollers, since those are the main ongoing cost.
