Our take on the KATHY KUO HOME Basile Modern Silver Stainless Steel Juniper Handle Carving Set

The Basile carving set from Kathy Kuo Home pairs a stainless steel carving knife and fork with juniper wood handles and silver-toned fittings. It is a decorative, modern-rustic set aimed at hosts who carve at the table and want the tools to look the part. The set is sold as a two-piece carving set, not a knife block set. Its best new price is $679 at Kathy Kuo Home as of November 7, 2026, and only one store lists it new, so there is no cheaper new option to compare against.

Questions and answers

Is $679 a good price for this carving set?
It is the only new price listed, $679 at Kathy Kuo Home as of November 7, 2026, so there is no lower new price to compare it with. Comparable stainless carving sets from mainstream brands often cost far less, so you are paying largely for the design.
What is included in the set?
A carving knife and a carving fork with stainless steel blades and juniper wood handles. It is not a full knife set and comes without a block or case.
Can the wood handles go in the dishwasher?
No. Wood handles should be washed by hand in warm water and dried right away to prevent swelling, cracking or dulling of the finish.
Is the blade dishwasher safe?
Hand washing is the safer choice for the whole set. Dishwasher heat and detergent can dull the edge and wear the wood and silver fittings.
Who makes this set?
It is sold by Kathy Kuo Home under its own KATHY KUO HOME brand, part of the Basile line of serveware and tabletop pieces.
Where is the KATHY KUO HOME Basile Modern Silver Stainless Steel Juniper Handle Carving Set cheapest?
At Kathy Kuo Home, for $679.00, as of our latest check.
