Our take on the KAY 7.6mm Hollow Curb Chain Necklace 10K Yellow Gold 22"

A 22-inch curb chain in 10K yellow gold, 7.6mm wide, made hollow to keep the weight and cost down. The hollow build means a big look without solid-gold heft, but it also dents more easily than a solid chain. The only new price listed is $3,249.99 at Kay Outlet as of November 5, 2026, with no other new-store price to compare against.

Best forMen who want a bold gold chain lookWearing alone as a statement pieceBuyers set on 10K yellow goldGifts for a 22-inch chain wearer
Pros
  • 7.6mm width gives a substantial, visible look
  • Hollow construction keeps it lighter than solid curb
  • 10K gold is more durable and affordable than 14K or 18K
  • 22 inches sits at collarbone-to-chest length for most men
  • Curb links lie flat and drape cleanly
Cons
  • Hollow links can dent or crush under pressure
  • 10K gold has a paler color than higher karats
  • $3,249.99 is a high outlay for a hollow chain
  • Only one new price listed, so little room to comparison shop
  • Resale value of hollow 10K chains is lower than solid gold

Questions and answers

Is a hollow curb chain worth it over solid?
Hollow gives you a wider look for less gold weight and money. Solid costs much more at this width but resists dents and holds resale value better. Choose hollow if the look matters more than durability.
Will a 7.6mm hollow chain dent easily?
Yes, hollow links can dent or crush if squeezed or caught on something. Avoid sleeping in it and store it flat. Treat it like jewelry, not an everyday rough-wear piece.
Is 10K gold good for a chain?
10K is 41.7% gold, so it is harder and more scratch-resistant than 14K or 18K. It looks slightly paler yellow. For a daily-wear chain, that trade-off works well.
How does a 22-inch chain fit?
On most men it falls at the collarbone to upper chest, and it sits lower on women. A 7.6mm curb at that length reads as a statement piece. Check your neck size if you want it to sit higher.
What comes with the necklace?
Expect the chain and a KAY box or pouch. A 10K gold stamp should be on the clasp or tag. Ask the store about a purity card if you want written proof of karat.
When is the best time to buy?
Gold jewelry prices track the gold market, so watch for dips in spot gold and for holiday sales. The listed new price is $3,249.99 at Kay Outlet as of November 5, 2026.
Where is the KAY 7.6mm Hollow Curb Chain Necklace 10K Yellow Gold 22" cheapest?
At Kay Outlet, for $3,249.99, 50% off, as of our latest check.
Where can I buy the KAY 7.6mm Hollow Curb Chain Necklace 10K Yellow Gold 22"?
