Is the Keurig K-1550 worth $249.99?

At $249.99 at Staples as of November 7, 2026, you pay for the large reservoir, display and programmable brewing. If you only brew a cup or two a day, a simpler Keurig costs much less.

How is the K-1550 different from the K-1500?

The K-1550 adds a color display and programmable brew settings over the basic K-1500 line. Both use K-Cups and a similar large reservoir.

Does it have a milk frother?

No. The K-1550 has no integrated frother, so lattes and cappuccinos need a separate frother or heated milk.

How much water does the reservoir hold?

About 0.75 gallons, roughly 96 ounces, which is several large cups before a refill.

What comes in the box?

The brewer, a drip tray and a starter set of K-Cup pods. A water filter is a separate disposable part.

When is the price lowest?

Keurig brewers usually drop during Black Friday and holiday sales. With only one store listing it new, watch for seasonal markdowns rather than everyday discounts.

Where is the Keurig K-1550 cheapest?

Our take on the Keurig K-1550

The Keurig K-1550 is a pod coffee maker with a 0.75-gallon (about 96 oz) water reservoir, a color display, programmable brew settings and a hot water function. It brews K-Cups and has no integrated milk frother, so milk drinks are made separately. It is a large machine at roughly 12 by 12 inches, built in black plastic. The best new price is $249.99 at Staples as of November 7, 2026, and only one store lists it new, so there is little price competition to compare against.
