Add deep, hard-hitting low end to your vehicle with the Kicker 50CWCD124 CompC 12-Inch Subwoofer, a dual voice coil driver built for everyday bass duty. It handles 300 watts RMS and 600 watts peak, making it a strong match for most entry to mid-level monoblock amplifiers. The dual 4-ohm voice coil configuration gives you real wiring flexibility, allowing a 2-ohm or 8-ohm final load from a single driver depending on how you connect it. With a frequency response spanning 27Hz to 500Hz and 87.1dB sensitivity, it reaches genuinely low while making efficient use of the power you feed it. This CompC has been reengineered for increased excursion, so it moves more air and digs deeper than earlier designs in the series. The driver itself is built from materials chosen for durability under sustained output. An injection-molded polypropylene cone stays rigid under heavy excursion, resisting the flex and breakup that muddy bass reproduction. A ribbed polyurethane surround, finished with Kicker's signature yellow stitching, allows long, controlled cone travel while holding up to years of flexing. High-strength Spiralead tinsel leads maintain a reliable connection to the moving voice coil, and the high-temp voice coil tolerates the heat generated during extended high-volume sessions. Forced-Air Cooling channels air through the motor structure to shed that heat, while a stamped steel basket keeps everything rigidly aligned. Getting this subwoofer installed and enclosed properly is straightforward with the specifications Kicker provides. It requires an 11-inch mounting cutout and 5-3/4 inches of mounting depth, dimensions that fit a wide range of prefabricated and custom boxes. For a sealed build, Kicker recommends between 1.25 and 3.5 cubic feet, giving you room to tune between tight, accurate response and fuller output. If you prefer a ported enclosure, the recommended vented range starts at 1.75 cubic feet for greater efficiency and deeper extension. Spring-loaded speaker terminals make hookup quick and secure, and this particular unit is refurbished, delivering CompC performance at a more accessible entry point.
