Our take on the Kingchii Wood Pellet Grill & Smoker, 595 sq. in.

The Kingchii Wood Pellet Grill & Smoker is a mid-size pellet grill with 595 square inches of cooking area and a 23.1-inch-wide grate. It runs on wood pellets for low-and-slow smoking and can sear at higher heat, putting it in the same class as entry-level Traeger and Pit Boss models. At $398.98 at Walmart as of November 5, 2026, it sits at the low end of what a 595-square-inch pellet grill usually costs. Assembly is required, and it does not carry an NTRL listing.

At $398.98 at Walmart as of November 5, 2026, it is one of the cheaper ways to get 595 square inches of pellet cooking. It makes sense if you want smoking and grilling on a budget and accept a basic controller.
How does it compare with a Traeger or Pit Boss?
It matches them on cooking area and undercuts them on price. Traeger and Pit Boss typically add better controllers, wifi on some models, and wider parts and service support.

Is assembly hard?
