The small version of the Artisan mixer, aimed at apartments and one- or two-person households. It is around 20% smaller and 25% lighter than the 5 quart model but has the same motor power, so it is not a downgrade in capability — just in the size of batch it suits. It still takes the full range of KitchenAid attachments.
