Our take on the KitchenAid Pro 600 Series 6-Quart Bowl-Lift Stand Mixer

The KitchenAid Pro 600 Series is a 6-quart bowl-lift stand mixer with a 575 W motor, 10 speeds and an all-steel gear transmission. The bowl-lift design raises the bowl to the mixing head, which suits heavy doughs better than tilt-head models. It ships with a stainless steel bowl, flat beater, dough hook, wire whip and pouring shield. At $239.99 at Walmart as of November 3, 2026, it sits well below its typical selling price, making this a strong moment to buy.

Questions and answers

Is the Pro 600 worth it over a tilt-head Artisan?
Yes if you knead bread or mix large batches. The bowl-lift frame and 575 W motor handle stiff dough better, while the Artisan is lighter and easier for small jobs.
How much dough can it handle?
The 6-quart bowl and 575 W motor handle several loaves of bread dough at once. KitchenAid rates bowl-lift models for heavier dough than tilt-head mixers.
What is in the box?
The mixer, a 6-quart stainless steel bowl, flat beater, dough hook, wire whip and pouring shield. The eBay listing also mentions a stand.
Does it fit pasta makers and grinders?
Yes. It uses the standard KitchenAid front hub, so pasta makers, food grinders and other attachments fit.
When is it cheapest?
Stand mixers drop most around Black Friday and holiday sales. At $239.99 at Walmart as of November 3, 2026, it is already well below its usual price.
How big is it on the counter?
It is about 11.3 inches wide and weighs roughly 29 lbs shipping. Leave headroom above it for the bowl-lift lever and bowl removal.
Where is the KitchenAid Pro 600 Series 6-Quart Bowl-Lift Stand Mixer cheapest?
At Walmart, for $239.99, as of our latest check.
Where can I buy the KitchenAid Pro 600 Series 6-Quart Bowl-Lift Stand Mixer?
3 stores we checked sell it, including eBay, Walmart, Poshmark.
