Is this worth it versus buying a new laptop?

If the rest of your 7386 works, a screen assembly is usually far cheaper than a comparable 4K 2-in-1. Get a quote for the part plus labor and compare it with what you would spend on a replacement machine.

Will it fit my Inspiron 13 7386?

It is listed for the Inspiron 13 7386 2-in-1 with the 40-pin eDP connection. Open your unit and confirm the connector and model number before ordering, since other Inspiron 13 versions use different panels.

Does it keep touch and the 4K resolution?

Yes. It is a touch-enabled 3840x2160 glossy panel, so tablet mode and stylus-free touch input work as before.

Typically just the screen assembly. Tools, adhesive and a bezel are usually not included, so plan on a plastic pry tool and new bezel tape.

Will it hurt battery life?

The 4K panel is the same type the machine shipped with, so battery life stays as it was. If you want longer runtime, a 1080p non-touch panel uses less power but loses touch and sharpness.

Replacement panels tend to dip during sales events and when refurbishers clear stock. No price is listed for this one right now, so set a price alert and compare a few sellers.

This is a replacement 13.3-inch 4K touch screen assembly for the Dell Inspiron 13 7386 2-in-1. It is a 3840x2160 glossy panel with a 40-pin eDP connection, sold as a complete assembly with the touch layer and digitizer bonded in.
