Is the Kobalt CK322 kit worth it for a homeowner?

Yes, if you need a drill and a saw and don't already own 24V tools. Two brushless tools plus two batteries in one kit usually costs less than buying them separately.

How does it compare with the brushed Kobalt 24V combo?

The brushless motors in this kit run cooler and last longer per charge than the older brushed tools. The trade-off is a higher upfront price.

What size is the circular saw?

It is a compact 6-1/2-inch blade saw, suited to plywood, trim and 2x4 crosscuts. It will not match a full-size 7-1/4-inch framing saw on deep cuts.

Are the batteries compatible with other Kobalt 24V tools?

Yes. The included 24V batteries work across the Kobalt 24V line, so you can buy bare tools later and reuse them.

What comes in the box?

The kit includes the drill/driver, the circular saw, two 24V batteries and a soft tool bag. Check the listing for whether a charger is included.

When is the best time to buy it?

Kobalt combo kits often drop around Father's Day, Black Friday and spring tool events. Compare the current price against its recent range before buying.
