Is the Krups EA 8108 worth it?

It suits anyone who wants fresh-ground espresso and milk drinks from one machine without a separate grinder or frother. If you want a metal build or app control, look elsewhere.

Does it grind beans for each cup?

Yes. The built-in grinder grinds per shot, and you can adjust the grind setting for the bean you use.

Can it make two drinks at once?

It has two brewing spouts, so it can pull two espressos together. Milk drinks are made one at a time through the frother.

How much counter space does it need?

About 11.3 inches wide and 15 inches deep, plus clearance above for the bean hopper. Measure your counter before buying.

Does it work with an app?

No. The EA 8108 has no app control; brewing, grinding and cleaning are handled on the machine's panel.

What maintenance does it need?

Rinse and empty the drip tray and grounds regularly, run the automatic cleaning cycle, and descale when the lime indicator prompts you.

Our take on the Krups EA 8108

The Krups EA 8108 is a bean-to-cup automatic espresso machine with a built-in conical grinder, a 15-bar pump and an integrated milk frother for cappuccino and latte. It runs on a 1450 W thermoblock, holds 1.6 L (0.423 gal) of water and brews two cups at once through twin spouts. It is a large plastic-bodied unit at roughly 11.3 by 19 by 15 inches, so it needs real counter depth. It has no app control; everything is set on the front panel.
