Our take on the Labelle Executive Desk with Power Outlet and Keyboard Tray

The Labelle Executive Desk is a black wood-grain office desk with a built-in power outlet, USB ports, a slide-out keyboard tray and drawers. It targets home-office buyers who want cable clutter handled at the desk itself. The executive styling is heavier and more traditional than a plain writing desk. No current price was provided, so check the live comparison before buying.

Pros
  • Built-in power outlet and USB ports cut down on wall chargers and extension cords
  • Keyboard tray frees desktop space for a monitor and paperwork
  • Drawers give closed storage for office supplies
  • Black wood finish suits most home-office decor
  • Executive style reads sturdier than a basic folding desk
Cons
  • Bulky footprint that needs a dedicated wall area
  • Power outlet placement limits where you can put the desk
  • Black finish shows dust and fingerprints
  • Assembly of a desk with wiring and drawers takes time
  • Wood-grain laminate, not solid wood, at this class

Questions and answers

Is the Labelle Executive Desk worth it?
It is a reasonable pick if you want outlets, USB and drawers built into one desk. If you only need a flat work surface, a simpler desk costs less.
Does it include a monitor stand or is the outlet on the desktop?
The outlet and USB ports are built into the desk, so devices plug in at desk level. Plan where the desk sits so the main power cord can reach a wall outlet.
How long does assembly take?
Expect a couple of hours with two people. The drawers, keyboard tray and wiring take longer than a plain tabletop.
What are the desk's dimensions?
Check the listed dimensions before ordering. Executive desks are wider and deeper than standard writing desks, so measure your space and doorway first.
When is it cheapest?
Office furniture tends to dip during back-to-school and Black Friday sales. Compare store prices and the price history before buying.
