Is the Briggs & Riley Baseline Large Expandable Spinner worth $929?

If you check a bag often and pack suits or dresses, the garment folder, 22% expansion and repair-for-life guarantee justify the price for many buyers. For occasional leisure travel, a cheaper hardside will do the same job.

How much extra space does the expansion add?

CX expansion adds up to 22% more packing space, taking capacity from roughly 110 L to about 138 L. You then compress the bag back down to its original size.

Does the lifetime guarantee cover airline damage?

Yes. Briggs & Riley repairs the bag for life at no charge, even for airline damage, and you do not need proof of purchase.

Is it small enough to carry on?

No. At 27 inches and about 11.5 x 18.5 x 27 inches, it is a checked bag. It exceeds carry-on limits for major US airlines.

What comes in the box?

The suitcase and a TSA-approved combination cable lock. The tri-fold garment folder is built into the bag.

When is the best time to buy it?

The best new price found is $929 at Amazon as of November 4, 2026, and only one store lists it new. Watch for luggage sales around Black Friday and spring travel events.
