Will it fit my 2016 Tacoma with the 5-foot bed?

No. This mat is cut for the 6-foot bed only, so it will not fit short-bed Tacomas.

Does it cover the tailgate too?

Yes. The listing describes coverage for the bed floor and tailgate.

It is the only new price listed as of November 4, 2026, so there is no cheaper option to compare. A custom TPE mat at that price is reasonable for a truck you haul with often.

Can I leave it in during summer heat?

Lasfit rates it to 167°F, which covers most parked-in-the-sun conditions. TPE can still soften on very hot days.

Does it need drilling or tools to install?

No. It is a drop-in mat that follows the bed contours; no hardware is listed.
