Is the Lasko QB16103 safe to leave on overnight?

It has overheat protection and a cool-touch housing, but no automatic shut-off or tip-over switch. Lasko and safety groups advise against running any space heater unattended or while sleeping.

How much does it cost to run?

At 1,500 W it uses 1.5 kWh per hour at full output, so roughly 15 to 25 cents an hour at typical US electricity rates. The thermostat and 900 W low setting cut that when the room is already warm.

What size room will it heat?

It is built for supplemental heat in a single room such as an office or bedroom. Expect it to take the chill off a small to mid-size room, not to heat a whole floor.

Does it come with a remote?

Yes. The version sold as "With Remote" includes a multi-function remote, and the heater also has onboard controls and a large display.

Will it trip a breaker?

At 1,500 W it draws up to 12.5 A, which is most of a standard 15 A circuit. Run it on a circuit without other high-draw appliances.

Space heaters usually drop in price in early fall before the first cold snap and again after winter. The best new price seen is $119.99 at Walmart as of November 8, 2026.
