Our take on the Le Creuset Toughened Nonstick PRO 13 Piece Cookware Set

The Le Creuset Toughened Nonstick PRO 13 Piece Cookware Set is a full kitchen kit of hard-anodized aluminum pans with a three-layer nonstick coating, glass lids and induction-ready bases. It covers the staples: saucepans, a sauté pan, a stock pot and frying pans, all oven safe to 500 °F and dishwasher safe. The set is built for shoppers replacing a mismatched collection in one purchase rather than adding a single piece.

Best forFirst full kitchen setup or a whole-kitchen upgradeInduction and gas cooks who want one set for every burnerBuyers who want dishwasher-safe nonstick for weeknight cookingCooks who move pans from stovetop to oven up to 500 °F
Pros
  • Three-layer nonstick coating releases food and wipes clean
  • Works on induction plus gas, electric, ceramic and halogen
  • Oven safe to 500 °F, so pans go from burner to broiler
  • Dishwasher safe for low-effort cleanup
  • 13 pieces cover saucepans, sauté, stock pot and frying pans
  • Hard-anodized aluminum body heats evenly and resists warping
Cons
  • Nonstick coatings wear out in a few years even with careful use
  • No skillet listed in the set, so browning and searing are limited
  • Glass lids and coated pans are heavier than basic aluminum
  • Large footprint: about 27 by 16 inches stored
  • Replacement pieces are pricey if one pan is damaged

Questions and answers

Is this set worth it over buying pans individually?
A 13-piece set usually costs less than the same pans bought one at a time, and it gives you matching lids and sizes. If you only need one or two pans, buy those individually instead.
Does it work on induction cooktops?
Yes. The bases are induction ready and the set also works on gas, electric, ceramic and halogen.
Can the pans go in the oven?
Yes, they are oven safe to 500 °F, including the glass lids. Check that your handles and lids fit your oven before broiling.
Is it dishwasher safe?
Le Creuset lists it as dishwasher safe. Hand washing will keep the nonstick coating performing longer.
What comes in the box?
The 13 pieces include saucepans, a sauté pan, a stock pot and frying pans with glass lids. Confirm the exact pan count and sizes on the listing before ordering.
When is the best time to buy?
Cookware sets see the deepest discounts during Black Friday, holiday sales and Le Creuset factory-to-table events. Watch the price history rather than buying at full list.
