Is the RTX 4070 enough for this 240 Hz screen?

For esports titles like Valorant or CS2, yes, and the high refresh rate pays off. For demanding AAA games at native 2560 x 1600, expect to lower settings or use DLSS to approach 240 fps.

Can I upgrade the RAM or storage later?

The 32 GB of RAM is the maximum and is not user-upgradable. The 4 TB SSD is already large, but check whether a second M.2 slot is free if you want to add more.

How does it compare to the Legion Pro 7i?

The Pro 7i is the larger, higher-power sibling with stronger GPU options and a bigger cooling system. The standard 7i is thinner and lighter, which suits buyers who carry it around.

Does it come with a warranty?

This listing states no written warranty is included, so confirm coverage with the seller before buying. Lenovo's standard warranty terms vary by region and retailer.

Expect the laptop and its power adapter; a mouse or headset is not included. Check the listing for any bundled extras.

Legion laptops typically drop during back-to-school and Black Friday sales, and when a new generation launches. Compare the current price against its recent range before buying.

Our take on the Lenovo Legion 7i Gen 9 Gaming Laptop

The Legion 7i Gen 9 is Lenovo's premium 16-inch gaming laptop, pairing an Intel Core i9-14900HX with an RTX 4070, 32 GB of RAM and a 4 TB SSD. Its 16-inch WQXGA panel runs at 240 Hz, so it suits fast shooters as well as creative work. The 14900HX runs hot and the RTX 4070 is a mid-tier GPU for this class, so expect strong CPU performance and good but not top-end frame rates at native resolution. RAM is capped at 32 GB, which is fine for gaming but limits heavy multitasking later.
