Is the Legion Pro 7i Gen 9 worth it?

Yes if you want a fast 16-inch gaming laptop with 32 GB RAM and 2 TB storage and rarely carry it far. If portability matters, a lighter 14- or 15-inch model is a better fit.

How does it compare with the Legion Pro 5i?

The Pro 7i steps up to a higher-wattage GPU, a 240Hz 1600p panel and stronger cooling. The Pro 5i costs less but runs a lower-tier graphics card and a slower screen.

Can I upgrade the RAM or storage?

The SSD can be swapped or added to, but 32 GB is the stated maximum RAM, so buy the memory you need up front.

The laptop and its power adapter. It ships with Windows and a backlit keyboard; a mouse and headset are not included.

Is the 240Hz screen worth it for non-gamers?

Mostly for fast-motion work and gaming. For office tasks the high refresh rate adds little, and a cheaper 165Hz panel would do.

Legion laptops tend to drop during back-to-school and Black Friday sales, and prices fall further once the next generation ships. Check the price history before buying.
