Our take on the Liferecord Prelit Artificial Hinged Slim Pencil Christmas Tree with Lights

This is a prelit artificial pencil tree in a spruce style, with hinged branches and 250 white lights built in. Its slim profile suits tight corners, entryways and small rooms where a full-width tree won't fit. At $30.99 at Walmart as of November 5, 2026, it is the only new price listed, so there is no recent range to compare it against.

Pros
  • Lights are pre-strung, so no separate light strings to hang
  • Hinged branches fold out for faster setup and storage
  • Slim pencil shape fits where a full tree won't
  • 250 white lights give even coverage on a narrow tree
  • Low price at $30.99
Cons
  • Only one store lists a new price, so there is little price competition
  • White lights only; no color or multi-function option listed
  • Pencil trees hold fewer ornaments than full-width trees
  • No height or width is stated, so check dimensions before buying

Questions and answers

Is $30.99 a good price for this tree?
It is the only new price listed, at Walmart as of November 5, 2026, so there is nothing to compare it against. At under $31 for a prelit tree, it is a low entry price.
How tall is this tree?
The listing does not state a height. Check the product dimensions at the store before buying, since pencil trees range widely.
Are the lights replaceable?
The listing does not say. Prelit trees at this price usually have non-replaceable string lights, so confirm with the store if that matters.
Is it suitable for outdoors?
Nothing in the listing says it is rated for outdoor use. Treat it as an indoor tree unless the store states otherwise.
What comes in the box?
The tree with its 250 white lights pre-attached and a stand are typical, but the listing does not confirm the stand. Check the store page for box contents.
How long does setup take?
Hinged branches drop into place and the lights are already attached, so setup is mostly spreading branches and shaping. Expect well under an hour.
Where is the Liferecord Prelit Artificial Hinged Slim Pencil Christmas Tree with Lights cheapest?
At Walmart, for $30.99, as of our latest check.
