Is this a good price for a queen storage bed?

At $145.99 at Walmart as of November 7, 2026, it is cheap for a queen bed with a bookcase headboard and four drawers. Comparable queen storage beds usually cost more, but this one is MDF and metal rather than solid wood.

Do I need a box spring?

No. The bed has metal slats and is listed as not requiring a box spring. Put a queen mattress straight on the slats.

How much weight does it hold?

The listed capacity is 800 lb. That covers the mattress and sleepers, but the drawers and shelves have their own limits that are not specified.

Where is the storage?

There are four drawers under the bed and shelving in the bookcase headboard. That gives you both hidden and open storage in one footprint.

How big is it assembled?

It measures 86.6 in long, 61.2 in wide and 40.2 in high. Check that against your room and doorway before ordering, since the headboard makes it deeper than a plain frame.

Does the LED light need batteries?

The listing does not say. Most headboard LED strips of this kind plug into a wall outlet, so plan for a socket near the head of the bed.

Our take on the Lifezone Rustic Queen MDF Metal Bookcase Bed with LED Light

The Lifezone Rustic Queen is a metal platform bed with an MDF bookcase headboard, LED lighting and four drawers, so it covers sleeping and storage in one frame. It needs no box spring, uses metal slats, and is rated for 800 lb. At $145.99 at Walmart as of November 7, 2026, it is the only new price listed, so there is no recent range to compare it against. That is low for a queen bed with a headboard and drawers, which fits its budget, manufactured-wood build.
