Our take on the Light Filtering Cafe Linen Drapery Short Window Curtains with Tie Tops

These are short tier curtains in linen with tab tops and a light-filtering weave, sold in gray. The tier cut covers the lower half of a window, which suits kitchen and cafe-style windows where you want privacy without blocking daylight. At $33.54 at Etsy as of November 8, 2026, it is the only new price listed, so there is no recent range to compare against.

Best forKitchen and breakfast-nook windowsRenters who want a no-hardware tab-top installAnyone who wants daylight in but neighbors outSmall windows where full-length panels look heavy
Pros
  • Light-filtering linen softens glare while keeping the room bright
  • Tab tops slide onto a rod without rings or hooks
  • Tier length covers the lower window, leaving the top open
  • Linen has a natural, slightly textured look
  • Gray reads neutral against most kitchen palettes
Cons
  • Light-filtering means it is not a blackout or room-darkening curtain
  • Linen wrinkles and usually needs pressing after washing
  • Tab tops can gap between tabs and let light through
  • Only one store lists a new price, so there is little price competition
  • Tier length will not fit tall or full-length windows

Questions and answers

Do these curtains block light?
No. They are light-filtering, so they soften daylight and add privacy but do not darken a room. For a bedroom, look for room-darkening or blackout panels instead.
What length are tier curtains?
Tier curtains are short panels, typically around 24 to 36 inches, made to cover the lower half of a window. Measure from your rod down to the sill before ordering.
How do tab-top curtains hang?
The fabric loops over the rod itself, so you need no rings or hooks. Space the tabs evenly when you slide them on to keep the pleats straight.
Can I put these in a kitchen window?
Yes. The tier style and light-filtering linen are made for kitchen and cafe windows. Keep them clear of the stove and wash according to the care label.
Is $33.54 a good price?
It is the only new price listed, $33.54 at Etsy as of November 8, 2026, so there is no recent range to judge it against. Compare against other linen tier pairs before buying.
How should I care for linen curtains?
Most linen curtains wash cold and hang to dry, then need a light press. Check the care label on the pair you buy, since blends vary.
Where is the Light Filtering Cafe Linen Drapery Short Window Curtains with Tie Tops cheapest?
At Etsy, for $33.54, as of our latest check.
What do buyers say about the Light Filtering Cafe Linen Drapery Short Window Curtains with Tie Tops?
Rated 4.8 out of 5 from 104 ratings.
