Our take on the LIVIZA 8-ft Pre-lit Pencil Artificial

The LIVIZA 8-ft Pre-lit Pencil Artificial Tree is a slim, PVC tree with built-in lights, offered in white or multicolor. Its narrow pencil profile fits tight corners, entryways and small rooms where a full-width tree won't go. The best new price is $148.72 at Lowe's as of November 7, 2026, with only one store pricing it new, so there is no recent range to compare against.

Pros
  • Slim pencil shape takes little floor space
  • 8 ft height gives a tall look in tight spots
  • Lights are pre-installed, so no separate stringing
  • White and multicolor options
  • PVC branches keep the price low
Cons
  • Pencil shape limits ornament room
  • PVC looks less natural than PE-molded tips
  • Only one store prices it new, so price comparisons are limited
  • Pre-lit wiring can fail and is hard to repair

Questions and answers

How wide is an 8-ft pencil tree?
Pencil trees are typically 15 to 20 inches across at the base, far narrower than a full 8-ft tree at 4 to 5 feet. Check the listed diameter before buying, since the LIVIZA listing does not state it.
Is $148.72 a good price for this tree?
Only one store, Lowe's, prices it new at $148.72 as of November 7, 2026, so there is no recent range to judge against. Compare it with other 8-ft pre-lit pencil trees, which commonly run $100 to $200.
Does it come with lights already attached?
Yes. It is pre-lit, so the lights are wired onto the tree. You still need to connect the sections and plug it in.
White or multicolor lights?
Both are offered. White suits a clean, wintry look; multicolor is more traditional and brighter in a dim hallway.
Can it go outdoors?
PVC artificial trees are generally for indoor use. Unless the listing states otherwise, keep it out of rain and direct sun.
How long does setup take?
A pencil tree has fewer branches than a full tree, so shaping and fluffing usually takes 30 to 60 minutes the first time.
Where is the LIVIZA 8-ft Pre-lit Pencil Artificial cheapest?
At Lowe's, for $148.72, as of our latest check.
