Is this quilt warm enough for winter?

It is a lightweight coverlet, so most people use it as a summer quilt or as a layer over a comforter in cold months. For winter alone, pair it with a blanket or duvet.

What size bed does it fit?

At about 90 x 90 inches it fits a full or queen bed with some overhang. On a king it will be too small, and on deep mattresses the drop will be shorter.

What comes in the box?

Three pieces: the quilt and two matching pillow shams. Pillows and other bedding are not included.

Is it good for camping or travel?

Yes. The coverlet is light and packs down easily, which is why camping and napping are listed uses. It is not a sleeping bag, so bring a pad or air mattress underneath.

How should I wash it?

Follow the care label, but most Lodge quilts of this type are machine washable cold and tumble dry low. Wash with like colors to protect the print.

When is the best time to buy it?

Quilt sets like this usually drop around fall bedding sales and after the holidays. Check the price history on this page to see whether the current price is above or below its recent low.

Our take on the Lodge Cabin Bear Quilt Set

The Lodge Cabin Bear Quilt Set is a three-piece bedding set (quilt plus two shams) with a retro cabin-and-bear print in a roughly 90-by-90-inch size, so it fits a full or queen bed. It is a lightweight coverlet rather than a thick comforter, which makes it easy to layer and to pack for camping or travel. Lodge is a catalog brand known for rustic home goods, and this set is aimed at cabin, lodge and lake-house decor.
