Is this fan really safe in rain?

It is marketed as waterproof and is meant for covered outdoor areas. Mount it where it is sheltered from direct driving rain, and have an electrician confirm the wiring is rated for damp locations.

Will a 20-inch fan cool my patio?

It moves air in a small zone, roughly a seating nook or a tight gazebo. For a full-size deck or a large screened porch, a 52-inch or larger outdoor fan will do more.

Does the remote control the light too?

Yes. The included remote handles both fan speed and the light, so you do not need separate wall switches for each function.

What do I need to install it?

A ceiling mount rated for outdoor damp locations and a compatible electrical box. Because it combines a fan and a light, plan on a licensed electrician for the wiring.

Is it worth buying over a bigger outdoor fan?

Buy it if space is tight and you want one fixture for light and breeze. If air movement is the priority, a larger damp-rated fan gives more airflow for similar money.

Our take on the Lokivas Black Waterproof Outdoor Ceiling Fan with Light

The Lokivas is a 20-inch outdoor ceiling fan with an integrated light and a remote control. Its black finish and waterproof build suit covered porches, patios and gazebos where a standard indoor fan would corrode. At 20 inches it is a small fan, best for tight spaces rather than large decks. It holds 4.8 out of 5 from 7 ratings, a small sample that points to satisfied buyers but is not yet a deep track record.
