Questions and answers

Is the LS2 Advantage X legal to ride in the US?

No. It is ECE 22.06 certified and P/J dual homologated, but it is not DOT, SNELL or FIM certified. US road use requires DOT certification.

How loud is it at highway speed?

Testers rated noise 3.0/5 at 103 decibels, with wind noise around the visor and chin. It is not as quiet as a dedicated full-face helmet, so earplugs help on long highway rides.

What comes in the box?

A Pinlock insert, a dark smoke visor, reflective stickers and a helmet carrying bag. The clear visor is fitted on the helmet.

Can I use a Bluetooth intercom with it?

Yes. The helmet has speaker cutouts for Bluetooth intercoms. Check that your unit's speakers fit the pockets before buying.

Is the carbon shell worth the price over the standard version?

The carbon shell brings the weight to about 1553 grams, which is light for a modular helmet and reduces neck fatigue on long rides. Whether that is worth the premium depends on how much you ride and how much weight matters to you.

When is the best time to buy it?

The best new price is $338.02 at Champion Helmets as of November 4, 2026, with 5 stores selling it new. Compare across those stores, since modular helmet prices move with sales and new model years.
