Our take on the LuxCraft Porch Rocker

The LuxCraft Porch Rocker is an all-plastic outdoor rocking chair in an antique mahogany woodgrain finish, built for covered porches and patios. It measures about 25.75 inches wide, 34.75 inches deep and 43.75 inches tall, and weighs 48 lbs, so it stays put in wind but is heavy to move around. The plastic frame and seat need no painting or sealing, unlike wood rockers. It holds a 4.8 out of 5 rating from 61 ratings.

Questions and answers

Is the LuxCraft Porch Rocker worth it?
If you want a porch rocker that never needs painting or sealing, it is a solid pick, and its 4.8 out of 5 rating from 61 ratings backs that up. If you want real wood, look elsewhere.
Does it come assembled?
It typically ships needing some assembly. Check the listing for the exact parts included before ordering.
Can it stay outside in the rain?
The plastic frame and seat handle weather well, but the woodgrain finish and hardware last longer under a covered porch, which is its intended use.
How much space does it need?
Plan for about 26 inches of width and 35 inches of depth per chair, plus clearance behind it for the rocking arc.
How does it compare with a wood porch rocker?
It costs less upkeep than wood because it will not rot, crack or need repainting. The trade-off is a plastic feel and a heavy 48 lb frame.
When is it cheapest?
Outdoor furniture tends to drop in late summer and early fall. Compare store prices and the price history before buying.
