Does this bed frame need a box spring?

No. It ships with slats, so a king mattress can sit directly on the platform. A box spring would only add height.

What is included in the LUXOAK King Farmhouse Set?

The listing is frame only. You get the king metal frame and slats; the mattress, headboard and bedding are sold separately.

How much weight can it hold?

The frame is rated for up to 1,000 lb. That covers most couples plus a heavy mattress.

Is $279.99 a good price?

Only one new price is listed, $279.99 at Amazon as of November 7, 2026, so there is no recent range to compare. For a king metal platform frame with slats, that is a mid-range price.

Will a standard king mattress fit?

Yes. It is a king-size frame, so a standard king mattress (76 by 80 inches) fits. Check the inner dimensions if your mattress runs large.

There is no price history to point to a low season. Watch the price around major sales events, when bed frames are often discounted.
