Questions and answers

Is the Brenalee sofa worth $1,599?
At $1,599 at Macy's as of November 4, 2026, you pay for a hardwood frame, hand-tied springs and a removable slipcover, which is more construction than most sofas near this price. If you want a deep seat and a cover you can clean, it is a fair buy. Skip it if you need a machine-washable cover or a light color that stays spotless.
Can I wash the slipcover in a machine?
No. Macy's specifies the slipcover is removable for dry cleaning. Spot-clean small marks and send the cover out for deeper cleaning.
How does it compare with a standard fixed-upholstery sofa?
The slipcover lets you clean or replace the cover without replacing the frame, and the cushions reverse for even wear. The trade-off is a looser tailored look and dry-clean-only care.
Will it fit through my door and in my room?
It measures 92.9 inches wide, 45.3 inches deep and 35.8 inches high, with a 21-inch seat height. Measure your doorway and the delivery path before ordering, since it arrives fully assembled.
What comes in the box?
The sofa and four 22-inch toss pillows. Legs are removable and the sofa is delivered fully assembled through White Glove Delivery.
When is the best time to buy?
Macy's runs furniture sales around major holidays and clearance events. Track the price history here and buy when it drops below the current $1,599.
