Is this necklace solid 14K gold?

The pendant and chain are listed as 14K gold. Some owners describe the chain as hollow, which is common for thin rope chains at this weight.

How long is the chain?

About 20 inches, with a 1-1/2 inch pendant drop. That puts the cross at or just below the collarbone on most adults.

Why do reviewers say the chain breaks?

The chain is 1.6mm and thin, and owners report it snagging on clothing and pulling apart, sometimes within days. Treat it as a light-duty chain and check the clasp and links regularly.

What happens if it breaks?

Some buyers had the necklace replaced or repaired through Macy's. Others say they were offered a replacement rather than a refund, so ask about the return policy before buying.

Is $945 a good price?

Only one store lists it new, at $945 at Macy's as of November 7, 2026, so there is no competing new price to beat. Compare it against the gold weight and against similar 14K cross pendants before deciding.

Can I get it cleaned at Macy's?

Yes. Participating Macy's stores offer free in-store jewelry cleaning on this piece.
