Yes. The pendant and chain are 14k yellow gold, not plated or filled. That means it will not flake or turn your skin green, though it can still scratch and should be cleaned gently.

How long is the chain?

The chain is 16 inches, a choker-length fit that sits at the base of the neck. If you prefer a lower drop, plan on a chain extender or a longer chain.

Is it big enough to be a statement piece?

No. It is a small cross meant for everyday wear and layering. Shoppers wanting a bold cross should look at larger pendants.

What is the clasp like?

It uses a spring ring closure, the small round clasp common on fine chains. It works fine but takes a little care to open and close.

Can I get it cleaned at Macy's?

Yes. Participating Macy's stores offer free in-store jewelry cleaning. Call your local store first to confirm it takes part.

When is the best time to buy?

Macy's runs frequent jewelry sales and clearance events, and gold prices move with the market. Check the price history here and compare before buying.

Our take on the Macy's Small Cross Pendant Necklace in 14k Gold

A small 14k yellow gold cross pendant on a 16-inch chain, with a pave-set accent and a spring ring clasp. It is a simple, everyday religious piece rather than a statement necklace. Macy's rates it 3.2 out of 5 from 42 ratings, so reception is mixed. No current price was provided, so compare it against other 14k gold cross pendants before buying.
