Our take on the Macy's Tilmar Fabric Sofa

The Macy's Tilmar is an 81.5-inch modern fabric sofa with slender track arms, removable cushions and two 21-inch toss pillows included. The seat cushions use 1.8 HR foam with a 1-inch polyester wrap, and the frame mixes hardwood and engineered wood on plastic anti-glide legs. It is a long, deep three-seater: 39 inches of depth and 28.5 inches of height make it a low, lounge-style piece. Its only recorded price is $890.10 at Macy's as of October 31, 2026, so there is no lower recent price to wait for.

Best forLiving rooms that need a long, low three-seaterHouseholds with kids or pets, given the polypropylene fabricBuyers who want removable, washable-friendly cushionsModern or minimalist rooms with track-arm styling
Pros
  • Long 81.5-inch seat width fits three adults
  • Removable cushions make cleaning and rotating easier
  • Polypropylene fabric resists stains and moisture better than cotton or linen
  • Two toss pillows included at no extra cost
  • Low 28.5-inch height keeps sightlines open in small rooms
Cons
  • Plastic legs are a step down from wood on a sofa near $900
  • 1.8 HR foam is mid-density and may soften within a few years
  • 39-inch depth takes up floor space and leaves little walkway behind
  • Polypropylene can feel less soft than woven upholstery
  • Only one price on record, so no discount history to judge

Questions and answers

Is the Tilmar sofa worth $890.10?
At $890.10 at Macy's as of October 31, 2026, you pay for size and removable cushions rather than premium materials. The plastic legs and mid-density foam are the main compromises at that price.
How does it compare with a typical Macy's fabric sofa?
It is longer and lower than most Macy's fabric sofas, at 81.5 inches wide and 28.5 inches high. The polypropylene cover and plastic legs put it below the brand's upholstered sofas with wood legs.
Will the cushions hold their shape?
The 1.8 HR foam with a 1-inch polyester wrap is medium density. Expect noticeable softening after a few years of daily use; rotating the removable cushions helps.
Does it fit through a standard door?
The sofa is 81.5 inches wide, so check your entry path and stair turns before ordering. Doorways under about 32 inches clear may require removing legs or cushions.
What is included with the sofa?
One sofa and two 21-inch by 21-inch toss pillows. Legs are included; assembly is typically attaching them.
When is the Tilmar cheapest?
The only recorded price is $890.10 at Macy's on October 31, 2026. Macy's furniture discounts most around major holiday sales, so watch those periods for a drop.
Is the Macy's Tilmar Fabric Sofa at its lowest price?
The lowest price we've seen is $890.10 at Macy's on October 31.
