Our take on the Macy's Women's Cross Lariat Pendant Necklace

A 10k yellow gold cross pendant on an 18-inch Palmier chain, with a lariat drop of about 1-1/2 inches and a lobster clasp. The diamond-cut finish gives the gold a faceted shine, and the textured chain sets it apart from a plain cable. Questions and answers

Is this necklace solid gold or plated?

It is 10k yellow gold, a solid alloy rather than a gold-plated base metal. That means the color will not wear off, though 10k is 41.7% gold, less than 14k.

How long is it, and where does it sit?

The chain is about 18 inches, which typically sits at the collarbone. The cross hangs about 1-1/2 inches below that as a lariat drop.

Is $630 a good price for it?

Only Macy's lists it new at $630 as of November 7, 2026, so there is no competing price to beat. Compare it against 10k gold cross necklaces of similar weight elsewhere before deciding.

What is the difference between 10k and 14k gold here?

14k is 58.3% gold and looks deeper yellow; 10k is harder and more scratch-resistant but paler. At this price, 14k pieces of similar weight usually cost noticeably more.

Can the lariat drop be adjusted or removed?

The drop is fixed by the chain design, so it cannot be shortened or detached. If you want a fixed pendant, a standard cross necklace is the better fit.

What comes in the box?

The necklace and its lobster clasp, typically in Macy's jewelry packaging suitable for gifting. A polishing cloth is worth adding, since the diamond-cut facets collect residue.

Where is the Macy's Women's Cross Lariat Pendant Necklace cheapest?
