Our take on the Mahjong Racks Wood Magnetic Pushers

This is a four-piece set of wooden mahjong racks with magnetic pushers, sized for a standard four-player game. The magnetic pushers stay attached to the racks, so tiles can be pushed and the rack carried without the pusher sliding off. It is a small accessory buy rather than a game set: the racks hold and organize tiles, they do not include tiles or dice. Shoppers rate it 5 out of 5 from 20 ratings, so reception is strong but based on a small sample.

Pros
  • Magnetic pushers stay with the rack instead of getting lost
  • Wood construction feels more solid than typical plastic racks
  • Four racks cover a full four-player table
  • Pushers double as the tile-pushing edge, so no separate piece to hunt for
Cons
  • Racks only: no tiles, dice or carrying case included
  • Wood racks are heavier to pack for travel than plastic
  • Magnetic hold can weaken if pushers are stored apart from the rack
  • Little long-term feedback yet, with only 20 ratings

Questions and answers

Is this a full mahjong set?
No. It is four wooden racks with magnetic pushers only. You still need tiles, dice and a rules card from your existing set.
Will the racks fit standard mahjong tiles?
They are built for standard-size mahjong tiles used in American and Chinese sets. Very thick or oversized tiles may sit tight on the rack.
How many players does the set cover?
Four. That matches a standard mahjong table, with one rack and pusher per player.
Are the pushers removable?
Yes, the pushers are separate pieces held by magnets, so you can lift them off to clean the rack or pack flat.
Is it worth buying if I already have plastic racks?
If your plastic racks flex or your pushers keep sliding off, the wood and magnets are a reasonable upgrade. If your current racks work fine, the gain is mostly feel and tidiness.
When is the price likely to be lowest?
Accessory sets like this tend to dip during holiday sales and back-to-school promotions. Check the price history chart before buying if you are not in a hurry.
