Does the Mainstays Farmhouse Table Lamp include a bulb?

No. It takes one LED bulb, which you buy separately. Check the socket for the maximum wattage before choosing a bulb.

How tall is it, and what surface does it suit?

It is 12.75 inches tall with a 6.5-inch-wide shade. That size works on end tables, nightstands, desks and dressers.

Is $12.97 a good price for this lamp?

Yes. At $12.97 at Walmart as of November 6, 2026, it is near the bottom of its recent range, and only one store lists it new.

What is the lamp made of?

A faux-wood base and body with a linen shade. It is not solid wood, so expect a painted wood look rather than real grain.

How do you turn it on?

There is a push-thru on/off switch on the socket. You reach under the shade and press the switch to turn it on or off.

Can it be used as a bedside reading lamp?

It can, but the small shade and single bulb give a modest, local light. For reading, use a bright LED bulb within the lamp's rating.
