Does it come with batteries and a charger?

It is typically sold as a bare tool, so two 18V LXT batteries and a charger are bought separately unless a kit is listed. Check the listing contents before ordering.

How does it run on two 18V batteries?

It uses two 18V LXT packs in series to reach 36V, which is how it gets its airflow. You need two charged packs of the same capacity for full power.

Is $659 a good price?

That is the best new price at Home Depot as of November 6, 2026, with only two stores listing it new. With so few sellers, expect little discounting.

Makita rates it at 61 dB, which is quiet for a leaf blower and well below most gas models.

Can it vacuum and mulch leaves?

Yes. It converts to a vacuum with a mulcher that shreds leaves into a smaller volume for bags or compost.

It suits people already invested in Makita 18V LXT batteries who want one tool for blowing, vacuuming and mulching. Buyers without those batteries should factor in their cost.
