Is the Makita 831303-9 worth it at $37.82?

At $37.82 at The Home Depot as of November 8, 2026, it is a fair price for a branded 20-inch open tool bag. It suits simple carry-all use; if you need dividers or a hard case, spend elsewhere.

How much does the Makita 831303-9 hold?

It has one compartment measuring 20 inches wide, 11 high and 10 deep. That fits a basic hand tool set, but there are no pockets or dividers for small parts.

Does the Makita 831303-9 have dividers or pockets?

No. It is listed with a single compartment, so loose tools and fasteners will mix unless you add your own pouches.

How heavy is the Makita 831303-9 empty?

It weighs 2.6 lb empty, light enough to carry loaded with hand tools for short trips.

Is the Makita 831303-9 a hard or soft bag?

It is a soft-sided bag with no rigid frame or lid, so it protects contents less than a hard case and can sag when partly filled.

Where is the Makita 831303-9 cheapest?

At The Home Depot, for $37.82, as of our latest check.

Our take on the Makita 831303-9

The Makita 831303-9 is a single-compartment open-mouth tool bag, 20 inches wide, 11 tall and 10 deep, weighing 2.6 lb. Its wide top opening and light weight make it a simple carry-all for hand tools rather than a fitted kit case. At $37.82 at The Home Depot as of November 8, 2026, it is the only new price listed, so there is no recent range to compare against.
