Our take on the Makita Cordless Blower/Vacuum

The Makita Cordless Blower/Vacuum is a walk-behind outdoor tool that blows leaves and debris and converts to a vacuum with a mulcher for shredding clippings. Its 150 CFM maximum air volume puts it in the light-duty class, suited to small yards, driveways and patios rather than heavy autumn cleanup. It runs on Makita's cordless battery platform, so buyers already in that system avoid a new charger and packs. No current price was supplied for this listing, so check the live comparison against its recent range before buying.

Questions and answers

Is the Makita Cordless Blower/Vacuum worth it?
It is worth it if you already own Makita batteries and need light blowing and vacuuming on a small property. If you face deep, wet leaves or a large lawn, a higher-CFM blower will do the job faster.
Does it come with a battery and charger?
Many Makita cordless tools are sold as bare tools without a battery or charger. Confirm what the specific listing includes before ordering, since that changes the real cost.
How does 150 CFM compare with other blowers?
150 CFM is on the low end for cordless blowers, which commonly reach 300 to 500 CFM or more. It handles dry leaves and grass clippings but struggles with wet or matted debris.
Can it vacuum and mulch leaves?
Yes. It converts to vacuum mode and the mulcher shreds debris, which lets you fit more into the collection bag and reduces what you haul away.
How long does the battery last?
Runtime depends on the battery pack and whether you are blowing or vacuuming, and vacuuming with mulching draws more power. Expect shorter runs in vacuum mode and keep a spare pack charged.
When is the best time to buy it?
Cordless outdoor tools often drop in price during fall leaf-cleanup promotions and end-of-season sales. Check the price history on this page to see whether the current price is above or below its usual range.
