Is $12.58 a good price for this bag?

Yes. It is the lowest price seen since November 3, 2026, against a high of $45.99 that day. At $12.58 at Mercari as of November 7, 2026, it is near the floor of its recent range.

Is the bag real leather?

No. Mango lists it as faux leather with a quilted finish. Expect a synthetic feel rather than leather.

Can it be worn crossbody?

Mango lists it as both a crossbody and shoulder bag, so the chain strap is meant to be worn either way. Check the strap drop if you are tall or wear bulky coats.

It uses a magnetic snap closure. That is fast to use but not secure for a phone or wallet in a crowd.

This version is off white. That shade shows dirt and scuffs more than darker quilted bags.

Is it worth buying over a leather chain bag?

If you want the look for occasional wear at a low price, yes. If you carry it daily, a leather bag will hold up longer than faux leather.
