Our take on the Maogolan 5 Pcs Hedgehog Stuffed Animal 13.7'' with 4 Baby Hedgehogs

The Maogolan hedgehog set is a plush family: one 13.7-inch mother hedgehog with four baby hedgehogs tucked inside or alongside her. It is a play-and-display toy aimed at young children, with PP cotton filling and a recommended minimum age of 3. The set sells as a single bundle, so the per-piece cost is low compared with buying individual plush hedgehogs.

Questions and answers

Is this safe for a 2-year-old?
No. The maker lists a minimum age of 3 years, and the four small baby hedgehogs are the main reason. Keep the set away from children under 3 and from pets that chew.
How big is the mother hedgehog?
About 13.7 inches long, with the full set measuring roughly 13.8 by 8.7 by 9.8 inches. The babies are much smaller and fit in a child's hand.
What is inside the plush?
PP cotton, a common polyester stuffing used in stuffed animals. It is soft but not machine-wash friendly in most cases; spot clean and air dry.
Do the baby hedgehogs come out?
They are separate small plush toys, not attached to the mother. That makes them easy to lose and a hazard for young children.
Is it a good gift?
Yes for a child 3 or older who likes animals, and the five-piece set works well for siblings. Skip it for a baby shower or a child under 3.
When is the price lowest?
Plush sets like this usually dip during holiday sales and back-to-school events. Check the price history before buying rather than assuming a listed discount is real.
