Is the Motion 60XTi worth it over the 40i?

The 60XTi adds a dedicated midrange and dual 8-inch woofers versus the smaller 40i, so it plays louder and deeper. Choose it for larger rooms or home theater; the 40i is enough for smaller spaces.

What amplifier power do I need?

MartinLogan rates it 20-400 watts into 4 ohms with 94 dB sensitivity, so a good 50-100 watt amp is plenty. Make sure the amp is comfortable with a 4-ohm load.

How far from the wall should they sit?

The bass ports fire rearward, so start at least a foot behind the cabinet and adjust. Too close to the wall thickens the bass.

Does it come as a pair?

It is sold as a single speaker, so order two for a stereo pair. Check the listing quantity before checkout.

Can I use it in a home theater?

Yes. It works as a front left or right channel and pairs with the Motion 50XTi center and Motion Xi surrounds. Its 4-ohm load means the receiver should be rated for it.
